The Summer Building Trades students received a delivery of ductwork donated by EMC Mechanical. They also were there when a bunch of HVAC units showed up. As these students are building out the unfinished upstairs half of the still new ACE Center at Hermitage and will need all this equipment and more as they work very hard and gain commercial construction experience not available to most technical center programs.
This is the second opportunity in recent years that our students were able to get commercial construction experience. When we build the new Adult Education Center at Regency our ACE students worked alongside many contractors as it was converted from a wing of Regency Mall to the new center. From demolition to completion our students were there doing the work usually reserved for experienced commercial construction workers. Thank you ECM!
