Career and Technical Education provides students with the foundational knowledge to jumpstart their careers while preparing them for continuing education. Students who complete a CTE program graduate with more than just a diploma. Many graduate with not only a skill-set that prepares them for the world of work but also a nationally recognized certification or state license. CTE courses enable students to develop industry contacts to build resumes that can be used for future employment programs in apprenticeships, two- and four-year colleges and private career schools. The programs we offer at CTE help strengthen academic achievement, enhance leadership and employable skills, and provide hands-on applications of academic concepts. Many offer the opportunity to gain college credit while in high school. In short, taking a Career and Technical Education program while in high school is a decision that “pays” as you prepare for the future.
