Apprenticeships pay for your school and pays you while learning a vocation; a degree is awarded in the form of a journeyman certificate.

• How much are apprentices paid?

First-year or beginning entry-level wages may range from $12-$22 per hour. Apprentices at the end of their four-year training program will begin receiving the full journey worker wage, which is typically $20-$38 per hour.

In addition to the hourly wage, the employer also contributes to health insurance that covers the apprentice, his or her spouse if marries, and any children.  Apprentices are also enrolled in pension and or annuity funds that the employer pays.
