The mission of the HCPS Career and Technical Education Business Advisory Council is to advise, support and promote opportunities to contribute to the success of the division's career and technical education program. The council comprises business and industry leaders who advise CTE staff members of current and coming needs and standards throughout the workforce. The council provides direct support to students through its workplace-readiness training initiatives, which encourage and produce strong interviewing, resume-writing and basic workplace-readiness skills. The council seeks to ensure that every HCPS student, parent and guardian understands the values and benefits of CTE programs. The Business Advisory Council believes in the mission, students and staff members of the HCPS CTE programs. Their combined efforts work to promote and provide the best opportunities for highly skilled students as they transition to postsecondary education and the workforce.
