Commercial Photography I:
Students will be taught industry-relevant technical skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of technology, including digital cameras, design software, and editing tools to stage, shoot, process, print, and present professional-grade commercial images.
Commercial Photography II:
Students are taught industry-relevant technical skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of technology, including digital cameras, lighting, design software, and editing tools to stage, shoot, process, print, and present professional-grade images while developing a portfolio for a career as a commercial photographer. Students will develop an understanding of photography’s influence in society and strategize how they may perform in the professional industry, using their technical and creative knowledge.
Communication Systems Course No. 8415: Communication Systems provides experiences in the fields of imaging technology, graphic productions, video and media, technical design, and various modes of communicating information through the use of data. Students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using the universal systems model. Students also learn about the impact of communication on society and potential career fields relating to communications.
Entrepreneurship I Course No. 9093: This course introduces students to the exciting world of creating, owning, and launching their own business. Students will learn concepts and techniques for planning an entrepreneurial venture, using design thinking and business model development. Students will learn about financial statements, marketing principles, sales and customer service, and basic economic principles for successful operations.
Entrepreneurship II Course No. 9094: This course is designed for students who wish to concentrate on advanced strategies for entrepreneurship, building upon concepts introduced in Entrepreneurship (9093). The focus of the course is on the development of a business plan and small business management. Students will establish, market, and maintain a business.
